2010/11 Entertainment Books

The Club has the 2010/11 entertainment books for sale and so far sales are going well. These are great fundraisers and cost $65 each with $13.00 going to our Club.   Be aware also that we can order books for Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Tasmania so if you know someone in other states who may be interested in a book (or you would like to give someone a gift), let Tony or Kay know and a book can be arranged and posted to them in other states.

Sunday afternoon concert – 30 May 2009

Our club has agreed to provide a sausage sizzle for the Sunday afternoon concert in Albany Crek organised by Peter Campbell.    Timing:  1 pm to 3:30 pm (approx).   Let Mike know if you can help out.

Bunnings Barbecue – Saturday 5 June

Steve has managed to secure another barbecue at Bunnings on Saturday 5 June.   Those of you, who have helped out at these barbecues in the past, know that it is a big day (and fundraiser) for the club.   Money raised from this barbecue will go towards the Administration account.    Let Steve know the times you’ll be able to assist on the day.

All Saints Fair – Sunday 6 June

Remember that the All Saints Fair is on Sunday 6 June.   Our club manages the sausage sizzle and serves the customers.   Another busy day so any time you can provide will be appreciated. Let Steve know your availability.

Club Changeover Night

At this stage, tentative arrangements have been made for Saturday 10 July 2010 at Aspley Hornets, Grahams Road, Aspley.   Cost will be approximately $25.00 per head.   Please note your calendars.

Lions Medical Research Personality Quest (LMRPQ)

Thank you for your support in selling the Art Union tickets.   

Remember the Preliminary Finals will be held on Saturday, 19 June at 7 am at Kedron Wavell Services Club.  It would be great if we had a good representation from our club to support Megan.   Cost is $40 a head.    

The Grand Final will be held at the Sebel Citigate on Saturday, 10 July.   Cost will be $70.00 per head including a three course meal.  

If you’re interested in attending one or both of these functions or would like more details ask Kaye or  Steve.

Online training – food safety

The Moreton Bay Regional Council provides a free interactive online food safety training module.  It provides the skills and knowledge required to ensure safe food for customers.   This module takes about 2 hours to complete and if you finish all modules you will receive a certificate.  Club members are encouraged to have a look at: http://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/general.aspx?id=59727
