2009/10 Entertainment Books

The Club has the 2009/10 entertainment books for sale.  These are great fundraisers and cost $60 each with $12.00 going to our Administration account.   Let Tony know if you want more.

Gardening at Monica’s

Please let Bob know if you can help out with mowing and edging at Monica’s place at Kedron over the coming weeks.  Timing is very flexible.  Mowing only takes around 45 - 60 minutes and a mower is provided.

Club shirts and jackets

Steve is organising an order for club members.  If you’d like to purchase a club shirt or jacket, let Steve know.

Miss Personality Quest

Remember the Preliminary Finals will be held on Saturday, 27 June at 7 am at Kedron Wavell Services Club.  It would be great if we had a good representation from our club to support Shantel.   Cost is $35 a head.   Let Kay know if you want to come along and join in the fun.

The Grand Final will be held at the Sebel and Citigate on Saturday, 11 July.   Cost will be $55.00 per head including a three course meal.

If you’re interested in attending one or both of these functions, let Kay know

11 April – Bunnings Barbecue – This was a fantastic fundraiser for Lions Medical Research.  It was a very busy day with 110 kg of sausages sold – a new Bunnings record!!  Shantel’s family and friends came along and helped out on the day.  A big thank you to the club members who also helped out.

The 39 Steps – A party of 14 from our club attended the show on 9 May.  The show was funny, very clever and entertaining.   If you’re looking for something different, we’d recommend a visit to the Twelfth Night Theatre.   The booking manager, Louis, there advised us that the theatre was 75% filled for Lions Medical Research so it would have been a good fundraiser for the Quest.  He was very thankful for the support for the theatre by Lions.
